The demilitarisation of munitions and weapons remains a significant challenge throughout the world. The end of the Cold War and down-sizing of military capability has resulted in a legacy of millions of tonnes of unwanted ammunition, weapons and equipment.

EOD Solutions Ltd has the expertise to provide consultancy or field services to investigate and implement demilitarisation solutions. Our knowledge and expertise ranges from field-expedient techniques to permanent facilities all of which are tailored to meet the customers individual needs.

Our permanent and mobile facility solutions range from conventional incineration technology to plasma-arc and can incorporate integrated pollution control systems to meet national or international pollution control standards. Pre-processing techniques range from hydro-abrasive cutting to reverse engineering ensuring that recyclable or hazardous materials are separated in the process. Recycling of metals often significantly offsets operational running costs of mobile or permanent facilities.

Field-expedient techniques are sometimes necessary in order to expedite the dispose of unserviceable munitions because of safety or security issues. Our field-expedient techniques include munitions down-sizing using hydro-abrasive cutting equipment to reduce or eliminate safety distances.

EOD Solutions Ltd capability in the area of demilitarisation is not limited to munitions. We are experienced in the dismantling of weapons systems especially those of former Warsaw Pact countries.
